The girl died on Friday from blunt force trauma

BILLINGS — A Hardin woman was arrested on suspicion of killing her 6-year-old stepdaughter.

The Big Horn County sheriff’s office tells The Billings Gazette that Kerstyn Oldbull was arrested in Hardin late Monday afternoon on a warrant that set her bail at $1 million.

Oldbull was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

A statement said Big Horn County deputies and FBI agents have been investigating since March 2. Undersheriff Bart Elliott says Kiomora Hogan was flown to a Denver hospital for treatment and died Friday of blunt force trauma.

Elliott says the fatal injuries happened while Kiomora’s father was out running errands. He says Oldbull and the girl’s father have not cooperated with investigators.
