HELENA – Family, friends and many of Montana’s state and federal leaders attended the funeral service for former state Gov. Tim Babcock.
The service was held Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Helena.
KFBB-TV reports that former Gov. Marc Racicot spoke about his fond memories that he spent with Babcock.
Racicot says Babcock was a humble man who never forgot where he was from.
A grave site service followed, and Babock was buried with military honors.
Babcock served as Montana governor for seven years and was involved in Republican politics for decades. He died Tuesday in Helena at the age of 95.
