The sentencing for St. Ignatius man who pleaded guilty to shooting his 3-year-old nephew has been continued again to June 24.
The Missoulian reports that 26-year-old Galen Hawk is still awaiting an ordered psychological evaluation which was ordered when his sentencing was originally continued from March 25 to Wednesday.
Hawk entered a guilty plea in January for the Oct. 22 death of Lonato Moran-Allen.
Hawk has said he had been drinking when he saw the boy playing with his gun. He took the gun away and the boy turned and fired a toy gun at Hawk. Hawk lifted his own gun, which he thought was empty, and fired a shot, hitting the boy in the back. Lonato died a short time later at a Ronan hospital.
