Joseph Potkonjak of Bigfork is in fifth place at the Class B high school state golf tournament at Eaglerock Golf Course in Billings.
Potkonjak shot a 4-over 76 in the first round on Tuesday. Dalton Hooton of Thompson Falls shot 73 and is tied for second place entering today’s final round. Bryce Mocabee of Huntley Project also shot 73.
Joey Peter of Manhattan leads after shooting a 4-under 68 on the first day.
The state tournament concludes Wednesday.
Bigfork’s Colton Stodghill shot 82, Ryder Trent shot 88, Jonathan Landon carded 92 and Tyler Ost earned 96.
In the girls tournament, Sadie Crippen of Missoula Loyola jumped out to a resounding lead, carding 2-over 74 at Pryor Creek in Huntley Project.
Lynzee Dexter of Townsend is in second place, 83 and Hanna Walter of Huntley Project is in third, 84.
The girls tournament concludes Wednesday.
