Potkonjak Ties for Second as Bigfork Claims Third-Place Golf Trophy

Thompson Falls won the tournament, edging Manhattan

Joseph Potkonjak shot a 1-over 73 to tie for second place at the Class B state golf tournament at Eaglerock Golf Course in Billings on Wednesday.

Potkonjak helped the Bigfork boys golf team tie for third place overall.

Thompson Falls won the tournament, edging Manhattan. Townsend tied with Bigfork.

Joey Peter of Manhattan won the individual championship, shooting a 68-77— 145. Potkonjak shot 76-73—149 while Tommy Tirrell of Missoula Loyola shot 74-75—149.

Caleb Bates of Thompson Falls finished fourth, 79-71—150.

For Bigfork, Colton Stodghill shot 82-85—167, Ryder Trent went 88-80—168, Jonathan Landon carded 92-85—177 and Augie Emslie finished 96-99—195.

In the girls tournament at Pryor Creek in Huntley, Sadie Crippen led Missoula Loyola to the team championship. Crippen carded 74-79—153 to win the individual title by 13 strokes.
