Studying Geology of the Flathead Valley at Lone Pine State Park

Participants will learn more about the geology of western Montana

Montana State Parks is presenting “The Story Behind the Landscape: the Geology of the Flathead Valley” at Lone Pine State Park on Saturday, May 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Participants will learn more about the geology of western Montana through the informative workshop lead by guest instructor, Lex Blood. The workshop will begin with an informal presentation at the visitor center then proceed to the park’s scenic overlook where participants will enjoy a guided view of our local geology.

The workshop is open to adults 16 years and older. Cost is $10 per person and pre-registration is required.
