The U15 Flathead Lacrosse team won the state championship in Billings last weekend. The local squad, made up of players under 15, defeated Helena 10-6 in the championship match. The Flathead Lacrosse U-13 squad earned second place in its respective division at the state tournament.
At the high school level, the Missoula Hellgate boys captured the state championship with a 13-6 win over Bozeman. On the girls side, Bozeman defeated Missoula Big Sky to win the championship.
Connor Bowman of the Flathead Lacrosse club was named to first-team all state. Marcus Jackson and Mason Nicholson were named honorable mention.
Flathead’s Greta Roberts, Mia Rottier and Darby Mackenstadt were named to the 12-member all-state team.
