Kalispell is experiencing an early June heat wave.

The National Weather Service reported a temperature of 95 degrees in Kalispell on Tuesday, tying the all-time record for June 9 set in 1918.

Monday’s high temperature of 94 broke the previous record of 89 degrees set in 1948.

The average max temperature in Kalispell in June is 72 degrees, according to the Weather Service. Seven of the nine days this month have already been 73 degrees or hotter, and temperatures have exceeded 80 degrees five times.

The heat isn’t expected to let up as sustained 80-degree days are in the forecast over the next week.
