Say What! The Works of Whitefish’s Fred Warf

Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish hosts an exhibit dedicated to the recent works of Fred M. Warf

By Molly Priddy

Throughout July, Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish will host an exhibit dedicated to the recent works of Fred M. Warf, a native of West Virginia who felt the pull of the Flathead Valley and moved here in 1981.

The “Say What!” exhibit will feature Warf’s new work from his “Post-Hillbilly Art From the Way Outside” studio, including pieces in oils, acrylics, assemblage, and small sculpture. Stumptown Art Studio held an opening reception for the exhibit on July 2, and the pieces will be on display until Aug. 2.

When he’s not creating his own art, Warf works as a set builder and facilities manager for the Whitefish Theatre Company. For more information, visit www.stumptownartstudio.org or call 406-862-5929.
