Police Looking for Man Who Broke Into, Slept in Whitefish Library

Man broke into library on July 18 and slept there for four hours

Police are looking for a man who broke into the Whitefish library and took a nap early on the morning of July 18.

Whitefish Police Department Lieutenant Bridger Kelch said the man used a rock to break the southeast door of the library before going inside and sleeping for about four hours. Shortly after 8:30 a.m., the man woke up and left the building. Police described the suspect as a white male in his late 20s.
