This Monday, July 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will hold an informational meeting about its upcoming 10-day group trip to China slated for April 2016.

The adventure, estimated at less than $2,500, will offer a blend of Chinese history and culture, while simultaneously exploring China’s growing interest in partnerships with Montana businesses. In addition to outstanding daily itineraries, travelers will be treated to 5-star accommodations throughout the duration of the trip.

The trip will include stops at top sites such as the Temple of Heaven and Great Wall in Beijing; the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi’an; and the Shanghai Silk Rug Factory as well as many more. The trip will also offer those embarking on the trip to strengthen business relationships, a special economic, political, and trade briefing, courtesy of the American Embassy Beijing, at no cost.

Prior to taking flight for China, Flathead Valley Community College’s international program will host a special workshop with a Chinese Fulbright Scholar for registered members of the tour. The workshop will include cultural information, basic words and phrases, and more. For the more ambitious, there is also a Chinese 101 class available during the evenings of the fall semester at FVCC.

Those interested will be provided with more details about tours, itinerary, travel arrangements, and package benefits at the Monday night meeting. The meeting will be held this Monday night, July 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Chamber located at 15 Depot Park in downtown Kalispell.
