Colorado Woman Killed in Head-on Crash Near Big Sky

BOZEMAN — A Colorado woman was killed after a head-on crash near Big Sky.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that the 23-year-old woman from Durango, Colorado, was driving on the Big Sky spur road Monday afternoon when her vehicle crossed into eastbound traffic and went around a curve. She collided head-on with a straight truck that was pulling a dump trailer.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but the woman was killed. Her name has not been released.

The newspaper reports that there have been 131 fatalities from crashes in Montana this year.
