St. Matthew’s Church is hosting the 2015 Multi-Denomination Choir Festival on Sunday, Oct. 18, 4 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Six choirs from the Flathead Valley will perform in the festival: Bethlehem Lutheran Chancel Choir, Blessed John Paul II Choir, Northridge Lutheran Festival Choir, Risen Christ Parish Choir, St. Matthew’s Parish Choir, and United Methodist Choir — Columbia Falls. Each choir will perform two pieces and then the choirs will combine to sing works by Allen Pote and a familiar tune arranged by Tom Fettke.  The audience will join us for two hymns as well.

“This is a wonderful community event with beautiful music from our area’s finest church choirs to sing to the glory of God! It is a chance for all to join in Christian fellowship,” says Karen Weaver, this year’s coordinator of the festival and music director for St. Matthew’s Parish in Kalispell. “This will be a glorious, uplifting afternoon of music, joy and friendship.”
