Both Glacier and Flathead are on the road this week in pursuit of tickets to the Class AA girls state soccer tournament.
The Wolfpack (1-9-2) play at Missoula Hellgate (3-7-2) on Oct. 20. The winner plays at Missoula Big Sky (6-4-2) on Oct. 22.
The Bravettes (3-7-2) play at Helena Capital (3-5-4) on Oct. 22 at 3:30 p.m. The winner advances to state.
Helena (10-0-2) won the Western AA and earned an automatic bid, along with second place Missoula Sentinel (8-2-2).
Bozeman (9-2-1), last year’s state runner-ups, won the Eastern division and earned an automatic trip to state. Billings West (7-2-3) placed second and got a bye, too.
Great Falls (2-10) hosts Butte (0-12) on Oct. 20 and the winner takes on Billings Senior (7-3-2). Great Falls C.M. Russell (7-5), the defending state champs, hosts Billings Skyview (6-4-2) on Oct. 22.
The girls state tournament is Oct. 29-31 in Billings.
