A late goal ended the Glacier girls soccer team in Missoula on Tuesday as Hellgate advanced to a play-in match for the Class AA state tournament.
Glacier’s Ellie Stevens netted the first goal of the day in the 49th minute, but Hellgate scored two unanswered en route to a victory.
Glacier goalie Amy Braig made 10 saves.
Hellgate will play Missoula Big Sky on Thursday. The winner advances to the state tournament in Billings, Oct. 29-31.
In other action, Flathead takes on Helena Capital on Thursday. The winner advances to the state tournament.
Glacier’s season ends with a 1-10-2 overall record.
