BILLINGS — Montana authorities say two children who were abducted by their parents have been found safe.

Billings police officials said in a statement that 2-year-old Gabriella Stratton and 4-month-old Abbigail Stratton were found with their father, Donald Stratton, Tuesday morning.

Donald Stratton was arrested on a $15,000 custodial interference warrant.

Authorities say the girls were taken by their mother, 33-year-old Maria Sandoval, during a supervised visit at the Center for Children and Families in Billings.

Police officials say the children were in state custody because of their parents’ drug use.

Sandoval was detained by law enforcement in Vaughn on Monday, but the children and Donald Stratton remained missing.

Authorities say the Great Falls Police Department, Cascade County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI helped locate them Tuesday.
