MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a fugitive after a Missoula police officer fired gunshots through the back of his car window as he slammed into a car full of U.S. marshals.

The Missoulian reports the 25-year-old suspect, Olajide Fletcher, was treated for glass that got into his eye, but no other injuries were reported in the Thursday incident.

Fletcher, who was reported to be “armed and dangerous,” was wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting in Washington.

His black SUV was located by authorities at a Missoula motel.

Police Sgt. Travis Welsh says as officers moved in to make an arrest, the suspect crashed into the marshals’ vehicle.

A Missoula officer had fired three shots into the back of the SUV.

Fletcher and a female occupant were taken into custody.
