BILLINGS — A Billings man accused of grabbing a woman off the street last fall, raping her at a construction site and stealing her dog has pleaded not guilty.

The Billings Gazette reports that 29-year-old Joseph Raymond Weinreber on Monday was arraigned on charges of sexual intercourse without consent and misdemeanor theft in Yellowstone County District court.

His bond was maintained at $100,000.

Charging documents say the 19-year-old woman reported she was walking her therapy dog on Oct. 5. 2014, when a man forced her into his car by threatening to kill her and the dog. She reported they drove to a construction site where he raped her in a portable toilet before returning her to a store. A DNA match led to the rape charge.
