Bozeman Scores Late TD to Sink Glacier in Semifinals

Hawks outscore Wolfpack 15-3 in the fourth quarter to eliminate reigning state champs

Bozeman’s Bennett Hostetler scored the game-winning touchdown with barely one minute left in the fourth quarter as the Hawks defeated the Glacier Wolfpack 22-16 in the semifinal round of the Class AA football playoffs on Friday night in Bozeman.

Hostetler scored his second TD of the game, a 21-yard pass from DJ Perdaems, to give Bozeman its first lead of the game with 1:09 left. The Hawks outscored the Wolfpack 15-3 in the fourth quarter to eliminate the reigning champions.

Bozeman will play Billings Senior in the state championship game next week. Billings Senior blanked Helena Capital 21-0 in the other semifinal game.

Glacier ended its season at 9-3.

Thomas Trefney scored both touchdowns for Glacier. He ran in a 10-yard TD in the first quarter and a 1-yard run in the second. Glacier kicked a 21-yard field goal in the fourth.

Trefney ended his stellar season with 25 touchdowns.
