Canadian Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Lima

BUTTE — Authorities say a Canadian woman has died after her husband lost control of a vehicle in snowy weather conditions on Interstate 15 near Lima.

The Montana Standard reports Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Mitch Voss says the woman, who has not yet been identified, had been traveling with her husband and their two granddaughters, ages 7 and 8, when the man lost control of the pickup truck and struck a guardrail Monday afternoon.

The impact caused the vehicle to roll over and the woman was ejected from the front passenger seat. She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The man and the two girls were also taken to the hospital. An update on their conditions was not released.
