The Fern Creek Midwives of Kalispell upgraded to a larger space, allowing the group to offer a new birth suite as an option for expecting parents.
The new building is located at 484 N Main St., directly next door to the midwives’ previous office. Licensed midwives Carrie Corbett and Heather Holman have been practicing in the Flathead since 2012, after earning degrees in midwifery and meeting state requirements during extensive apprenticeships.
And even though the suite has only been open since the beginning of the month, the midwives reported that they have already delivered three babies there. Other options for parents include home birth services and hospital births.
