Local Cancer Support Group Holding Fundraiser

The 20th Annual WINGS Radiothon is Jan. 21-22 at the Sportsman and Ski Haus in Kalispell

Wings Regional Cancer Support, a nonprofit organization that offers financial assistance to individuals and families undergoing cancer treatment, is holding its 20th annual fundraiser this week.

The 20th Annual WINGS Radiothon is Jan. 21-22 at the Sportsman and Ski Haus in Kalispell. The event will raise funds for cancer patients in Northwest Montana to help cover the out-of-pocket expenses associated with their treatment that are not covered by health insurance. The Radiothon is hosted by Bee Broadcasting, which will be covering the event live from 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. Jan. 22. Bee Broadcasting stations include B 98.5 FM, 880 AM, 105.1 FM, 103. 1FM, 1240 AM, 106.3 FM and 95.9 FM.

Pledges may be phoned in during the event by calling 257-WING (257-9464). Donations may be dropped off at the Sportsman and Ski Haus during the event in Kalispell or Whitefish or they may be mailed to WINGS. PO Box7852, Kalispell, MT 59904.

Donations are 100 percent tax deductible. The organization is administered by an all-volunteer board of directors. No donated funds are used for administrative purposes. Last year’s event raised more than $70,000 for local cancer patients. For more information, visit http://www.wingsnwmontana.com.
