UM Student Dies After Reported Fall from Residence Building

The male student was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries

MISSOULA – A University of Montana student has died after apparently falling from the top floor of a residence hall.

UM spokeswoman Peggy Kuhr says that a call was made at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday stating “that someone had fallen” from the top of the five-floor Miller Hall.

Kuhr tells the Missoulian that the male student was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.

The Missoula County Coroner’s Office is handling the case.
