Bigfork/Ferndale Community Garden is holding a workshop with guest speaker Bill Clanton on Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
A longtime farmer and owner of Fresh Farms, Clanton will discuss seed selection, soil prep, weeds and frost protection. Deer control, gophers, voles and other pests will round out our workshop on growing a successful garden. Gardeners who wish to purchase a plot for the upcoming gardening season will be accepted, too. Details will be available at the workshop.
As always, the workshop will be held at St Patrick’s Episcopal Church across from the Ferndale Fire Dept. on MT 209 at the blinking light. Please enter through the big red doors off the parking lot. Call Michelle at 837-0982 with any questions. The event is free and open to the public.
