With seven foster children, Carissa Emett knows what it takes to manage kiddos.

Emett is now sharing her talents with the community through her new business, Scribbles Drop-In Playcare in downtown Kalispell. The new center is located at 38 First St. and is for children 18 months to 12 years old.

“We love kids and we love the community, and we wanted to find another way to serve families in this community,” Emett said.

Scribbles offers flexible hours, Monday through Saturday, as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 11 p.m. The center offers a live streaming system that is password protected and allows parents to follow their children at the center. The center provides lunch and dinner meals made of healthy foods, Emett said, as well as structured programs, such as arts and crafts projects, to go along with playtime.
