A bullet was shot through a window of a Columbia Falls home early on the morning of March 4, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.
The house was occupied at the time of the early morning shooting but no one was injured in the incident.
Curry said that multiple gunshots were reported along South Hill Top Road at around 5:43 a.m. and one bullet was found inside the residence of Troy Bowman, activities director at Columbia Falls High School. Curry said the bullet came from a large caliber handgun.
“It’s not common,” Curry said. “We don’t usually have homes shot at.”
In a statement to the Beacon, Bowman said he was hopeful that the incident was not intentional and that it was a “random act of stupidity.”
