One of hip-hop's original supergroups to play show at Casey's

By Beacon staff

Casey’s bar in Whitefish will host Mobb Deep for a concert on March 30.

As one of the most prolific hip-hop groups in the genre, Mobb Deep is one of the originals, with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. All told, their work has appeared on records with sales of more than 40 million copies.

More info on the group, courtesy of Casey’s:

“Aiming from the Queensbridge neighborhood of NYC, the duo has been responsible for delivering some of the most popular and forever current anthems in rap music. Tracks like ‘Survival Of The Fittest‘ ‘Shook Ones Part II’ and ‘Quiet Storm RMX‘ have remained significant and still move crowds from NY to Tokyo. Mobb Deep’s ability to perfectly describe their gritty surroundings and lifestyle always made them a first choice for music writers and critics across the board. Mobb Deep have graduated to the role of cult group; today, they are followed by a new wave of cutting edge music listeners, as well as their original core foundation of hip-hop aficionados.”

Tickets to the March 30 show are $15. The show is for adults 21 and older. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m.
