Sheriff’s Office Investigating Death of Evergreen Toddler

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 2-year-old girl in Evergreen.

According to Sheriff Chuck Curry, Zaila Haynes was pronounced dead at Kalispell Regional Medical Center on Tuesday morning. The girl’s parents, who have not been identified, brought the toddler to the hospital, where attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

The child’s body has been taken to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
