The newest additions to the commercial business district in north Kalispell are lining up as construction continues in the development along U.S. 93 next to Kidsports Complex.

Kalispell city staff received initial plans last week for three new businesses in the Spring Prairie Phase Four development, including Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, a restaurant franchise founded in 2003 with over 70 locations across the U.S. and Canada. There are also preliminary plans for a Mattress Firm and Krispy Kreme doughnut shop. The new businesses will be part of the commercial development alongside the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, which is expected to open in June.

Crews are busy installing initial infrastructure in the new Spring Prairie development and when completed the 28-acre lot will fill up with 14 parcels, or building pads. An initial site plan has been submitted for a one-story 8,100-square-foot building at the corner of Old Reserve and U.S. 93 where multiple businesses will reside.
