A man accused of raping a woman in Whitefish last summer is set to go to trial next month.

Eric Cordova is expected to go to trial on June 6. The trial is expected to last four days.

Cordova came to Whitefish last year to play baseball for the now-defunct Glacier Outlaws, an upstart team in the Mount Rainier Professional Baseball League.

According to court documents, Cordova allegedly raped a woman he met in downtown Whitefish on the night of May 24, 2015.

Cordova pleaded not guilty to the charges in June 2015. If convicted, Cordova faces fines up to $50,000 and 100 years in prison.
