Wildlife officials are investigating the death of a grizzly bear near Hungry Horse Reservoir.
The bear was found last weekend on the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir at Wounded Buck Creek. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks wardens responded to the report and retrieved the grizzly.
The case is under active investigation and no further information can be released at this time, according to FWP spokesman John Fraley.
Officials ask that anyone having information on this case call Brian Lake of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (406-761-2286), or 1-800-TIP-MONT. A reward is available to anyone reporting information leading to a conviction.
Grizzlies are listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
