Led by a championship in the double bracket, the Whitefish girls tennis team won the Class A state title in Bozeman last weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs tallied 30 points to claim the first team championship since 2004 and only the second in the program’s history.
Katie Fyall and Anna Peterson won the doubles championship, defeating teammates Hannah Madsen and Heather Luedtke 6-3, 6-3.
Polson’s Cassie Carlyle and Shawna Lenz placed fifth in the doubles bracket.
Billings Central placed second with 10 points, followed by Dillon (16).
Barclay Fagg of Billings Central won the singles title after defeating Madison Chavez in the final, 6-0, 6-0.
Columbia Falls Emily Getts placed fourth. Polson’s Marlee Congdon placed fifth.

The Billings Central boys claimed the team title with 32 points, edging runner-up Glendive (26). Havre placed third with 18 points.
Harrison Fagg of Billings Central won the singles championship and teammates Simon Marshall and Joey Nichols won the doubles championship.
