A new high-end, executive-recruiting firm has set up shop in new digs in Whitefish, bringing big-city wages to a small mountain town.

“Traditionally, you had to live in a big city to tap into that market, but that’s not the case anymore,” said Ty Culver, talent acquisition specialist at CulverCareers, which was founded 38 years ago in San Diego by Tim Culver, Ty’s father.

The company specializes in recruiting top executives and managers for young businesses whose fast-paced metabolism makes it difficult to scout their own talent.

“Our clients are often in a state of flux as they grow rapidly, and they can’t target the quality of people they want,” Ty Culver said. “That’s where we come in.”

A graduate of Montana State University, Culver said the Whitefish branch currently employs four young Montanans, and hopes to hire a fifth worker soon.

Located in The Galleries building in downtown Whitefish, Culver said the office is “hip,” and is outfitted with a ping-pong table, games and exercise equipment. For more information visit
