Jaxen Hashley, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound all-state defensive linemen who will be a senior at Glacier High School in the fall, has verbally committed to play football at Montana State University.

Hashley committed July 23 to being a Bobcat after graduating high school in spring 2017.

The all-state lineman is returning to the field this fall after injuring his knee last season. He had 43.5 tackls, one interception and 3.5 sacks before the late-season injury. During Glacier’s undefeated state championship season in 2014, Hashley recorded 49.5 total tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Hashley’s father, Doug, is a member of the MSU Hall of Fame. Doug was a standout all-conference basketball player from 1978-82.

Jaxen’s sister, Cassidy, is a standout basketball player at Carroll College.
