St. Regis Man Drowns in Flathead Lake

Man drowned after falling into the water while paddle boarding in Indian Bay area north of Polson

POLSON – A 51-year-old St. Regis man has drowned after falling into the water while paddle boarding on Flathead Lake.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell tells KERR-AM that the accident was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Indian Bay area north of Polson.

Emergency responders quickly located the man, but efforts to resuscitate him failed.

The man’s name was being withheld while family members were notified.
