Teigan Avery, a recent graduate from Glacier High School, finished second in the Montana Women’s State Amateur golf tournament in Helena on Thursday.
Avery, who will compete at the University of Montana next year, shot 78-76-74 — 228 to finish 9-over at the Green Meadow Country Club.
Missoula native Maggie Crippen won the tournament with 74-72-75 — 221.
Libby’s Jackie Mee tied for third, 80-75-77 — 232.
Whitefish’s Coral Schulz placed ninth, 75-82-81 — 238.
