State Baseball: Bitterroot Edges Glacier in Class A Championship

Glacier advanced to Monday night's championship after defeating Laurel 8-2 in the third-place game

The Bitterroot Red Sox defended their Class A state championship with a win over the Glacier Twins in the legion baseball title game on Monday.

The Red Sox tallied 17 hits and held off the relentless Twins 9-7 at the legion baseball state tournament in Great Falls.

Glacier advanced to Monday night’s championship after defeating Laurel 8-2 in the third-place game.

Tristin Steinwand was 5-for-6 in the title game and Ryan Veneman was 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI. AJ Wetsch had two hits and two RBI and Tyler Murphy and Vinnie Smith each had one RBI apiece.
