Homework Lies

7:36 a.m. A dog on Ridgewood Drive barked all afternoon and well into the early hours of the morning.

8:52 a.m. At some point during the night, someone poured gas on the carpet and lit cardboard on fire inside a house on Mill Camp Road. The house was “safe” at the time of the call.

9:19 a.m. Three free-range dogs were blocking traffic on the west side of town.

10:37 a.m. A Helena Flats Road resident reported that someone, and he thinks he knows who, “dumped” on his vehicle and broke some fishing poles.

1:55 p.m. Someone in a white Suburban was driving too fast down Highway 2 West near Kila.

2:55 p.m. A Kalispell man reported that the neighbor placed fence posts in the middle of a road that crosses his property.

4:24 p.m. A drunken man did obnoxious things in a restaurant on Central Avenue in Whitefish before getting in his truck and driving off.

5:01 p.m. A woman stated that her car burns oil and wanted to know if this was illegal. She claimed that a “crazy lady” followed her and took several pictures before she stopped and told her that she was polluting the air.

5:03 p.m. A man in West Valley reported that he has received mail from all over the neighborhood. He worries that someone has been “playing” it.

5:43 p.m. A local boy lied to his parents about his homework.

8:37 p.m. The drunken driver of a two-toned Thunderbird was seen swerving down Highway 35 in Kalispell.

11:05 p.m. A woman on White Fawn Lane reported that the neighbor’s cows were in her yard.
