Zach Perrin and Makena Morley excelled at last weekend’s Pac-12 Cross Country Championships and helped the University of Colorado teams win titles in Tucson, Arizona.

Perrin, a junior for the Buffaloes and a former Flathead High School state champ, placed fourth in the men’s 8K race, clocking 24:17.1.

Morley, a former state champ at Bigfork and a sophomore in her first season at Colorado, placed ninth in the women’s 6K run, clocking 20:43.0.

Perrin was the second fastest runner for Colorado, which won the championship for the second year in a row with 41 points. Running on the defending national championship team, Morley was the fourth runner to finish from Colorado, which repeated as Pac-12 champs.

Both local runners and their respective teams will compete at the national championships in Terra Haute, Ind., on Nov. 19.
