Columbia Falls Claims Second Straight Volleyball Title

Glacier places third at Class AA tournament

The Columbia Falls Wildkats successfully defended their Class A volleyball title, defeating Billings Central 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-17 on Saturday at the state volleyball tournament in Bozeman.

Columbia Falls rallied back after dropping the first set and capped another milestone season with an undefeated 20-0 record.

Cydney Finberg had two of the team’s five aces and 48 assists. Morgan Stenger had 19 kills and five blocks. Kiara Burlage had 20 digs and 13 kills. Kaitlyn Casazza had 15 kills. KJ Schweikert had 13 kills and three blocks. Anna Nicosia had 15 digs.

At the Class AA tournament, Glacier (20-10) placed third. Billings Senior defeated the Wolfpack 25-21, 25-20, 25-19 in the third-place match. Nikki Krueger led the Pack with 11 kills and Abi Fiske had six blocks. Brietta Russell had 11 digs and two aces and Ashley Montini had 22 assists.

Missoula Sentinel defeated Billings Senior to win the Class AA title, 25-14, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21.
