Don’t Allow Hate in Community

Let the world know that your community is a safe place for all people

By Ashley Sherburne

Whitefish and the Flathead Valley community must take a strong stand against the rhetoric and beliefs of the white supremacist and alt-right leader Richard Spencer. We need to let the country and world know that we do not stand for his values and that we will not allow his hate to enter our community. We can do this by speaking out for those who are marginalized in our community and by protesting hate language openly and often. Don’t allow your voice to go unheard as his movement receives more press coverage. Let the world know that your community is a safe place for people of all heritages, backgrounds, beliefs and lifestyles by taking a stand against hate and making the voice of tolerance stronger than the voices of hate in our communities.
