Taylor Hulslander, a 2013 Glacier High School graduate and a senior at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado, recently set a new academy record in the javelin.

At the annual Twilight Open in Colorado on May 5, Hulslander, a former standout quarterback at Glacier, threw a career best throw of 236-feet, six inches, a personal best by 20 feet and a new all-time record for the program. His throw is a top-15 mark in the NCAA this season and surpassed the previous Air Force Academy record, set in 1999, by 13 feet.

Hulslander and his teammates are competing in the Mountain West Championships this week in Logan, Utah.
