Gonzaga’s Troy Fraley qualified for the NCAA national championships in the steeplechase along with a few other fast friends from the Flathead Valley.
Fraley, a 2013 Glacier High School graduate and redshirt junior, ran the fastest time at the NCAA West Regional.
Earlier this month, the Kalispell runner broke his own school record with a time of 8:39.30.
Zach Perrin, a Flathead graduate and junior at the University of Colorado, qualified for nationals in the 5K.
Colorado freshman and Bigfork native Makena Morley qualified in the 10K.
The NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships is June 7-10 in Eugene, Oregon.
