NSC Montana, a second-year soccer club with top players from Kalispell, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Bigfork and Polson, recently wrapped up a successful spring season that saw top finishes at regional tournaments.
At the final tournament of the spring season, NSC Montana traveled to Nelson, British Columbia and competed in the 2017 Terry Walgreen Memorial Tournament. The NSC Montana 2001 girls team won, featuring local players Aaris Hill, True Gannon, Skyleigh Thompson, Lexie Purcell, Kyla Johnston, Shaye Thompson, Emma Paulson, Josephine Brown, Thea Vrentas, Macey Sandefer, Clara Vandenbosch, Abbie Schaffer, Julia Suave, Maddie Dardis, Alice Addington and Hunter McGillivray.
“Our two high school teams were the only teams from the United States and all of our games for this tournament were against quality Canadian teams,” head Coach Nate Evans stated.
The NSC Montana program now accommodates six teams, including two full-time teams for high school girls and boys.
