Annie Hill, a state champion distance runner at Glacier High School, placed fourth in the girls mile race at the elite Brooks PR Invitational Meet in Seattle.
Hill, a soon-to-be senior, was among 11 of the nation’s fastest prep distance runners invited to compete. She clocked 4:46.18. The winner, Anna Gibson of Jackson High School in Wyoming, won in 4:43.77.
Hill won the race last year in 4:41.52. She recently completed her successful junior season with three Class AA state championships, in the 800 (2:09.27), 1,600 (4:54.61) and 3,200 (10:46.10).
