Ryan Edwards, a 2013 graduate of Glacier High School, is leaving Gonzaga and will play his senior basketball season at Portland State University, according to multiple media reports.

Edwards graduated this spring with a broadcasting degree at Gonzaga and initially said he planned to skip his senior season. The Spokesman-Review is reporting that Edwards has confirmed that he now plans to transfer to Portland State to finish his collegiate basketball career with the Vikings.

Portland State, which plays in the same conference as Montana and Montana State, finished 15-16 overall last season and 7-11 in the Big Sky Conference.

Edwards, a 7-foot-1, 295-pound backup center at Gonzaga, finished his redshirt junior season appearing in 17 games for a total of 48 minutes. For the NCAA’s eventual runner-up team, he averaged 2 points and 1.1 rebounds per game this season. He appeared in 31 games as a redshirt sophomore and scored a season-high 10 points in 14 minutes against San Diego.
