Former Major Leaguer to Throw out First Pitch at Babe Ruth State Tournament

The tournaments for 13U, 14U and 15U will feature 17 teams playing July 12-16

Glacier Babe Ruth is hosting the 2017 Montana Babe Ruth State Tournament for all three age groups this week in Columbia Falls and Whitefish.

The tournaments for 13U, 14U and 15U will feature 17 teams playing July 12-16.

Former Major League pitcher Steve Ontiveros will be throwing out the first pitch in Glacier Babe Ruth’s State Tournament Opener at Memorial Field in Whitefish at 6 p.m., July 13. Ontiveros pitched in the big leagues from 1985 through 2000. He played for the Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox.

The 13U and 14U tournaments will be playing the majority of their games at the Sapa Johnsrud Field in Columbia Falls. The 15U will be playing at Memorial Park in Whitefish.
