Parking Problems

12:16 a.m. A Kalispell resident reported someone was setting off fireworks for over two hours despite Independence Day being over.

12:47 a.m. A Whitefish man’s girlfriend was “acting out” because her cousins were in town.

1:11 a.m. A Hungry Horse man was shooting fireworks at nearby sheriff’s deputies. In response, they tazed him.

1:13 a.m. A Somers woman called 911 demanding that they send someone down to tell her neighbors to stop shooting off fireworks.

2:14 a.m. Another group of Independence Day revelers were setting off fireworks in Kalispell and “whooping and hollering like a bunch of drunks.”

2:34 a.m. A reporter called dispatch to see what was going on. They were advised to call back during normal business hours.

7:34 a.m. A reveler had passed out near downtown Whitefish and was still sleeping off his hangover come dawn.

8:28 a.m. A family with a motor home pulled into West Glacier, took up “20” parking spaces and decided to explore Glacier National Park, much to the dismay of everyone else looking for a parking spot in West Glacier.

9:40 a.m. A man called 911 because he lost his glasses.

11:36 a.m. A Columbia Falls man called because someone fired off a bottle rocket at his porch the previous night. He was pretty sure it was done on purpose, but he doesn’t have any suspects at this time.

11:38 a.m. A Kalispell man called to report his 1991 Mercury Cougar was stolen.

11:46 a.m. A Kalispell resident found some prescription glasses.

2:26 p.m. A Somers resident had some questions regarding a local caterer.

3:17 p.m. A Kalispell man wanted information on how he could get into his ex-girlfriend’s house.

3:57 p.m. A Kila man reported that his snow tires had gone missing.

6:07 p.m. A Kalispell man called police because there was a baby deer in his basement.

6:31 p.m. Some kids were causing traffic troubles because they kept jumping off a bridge into the river.

6:50 p.m. Someone threatened a Kalispell grandmother.

8:10 p.m. A Columbia Falls man called police because of his neighbor’s lousy driving habits.

10:28 p.m. Some locals were setting off more fireworks down by the lake.

10:31 p.m. A Kalispell woman left her kitten in a car for over five hours.
