State champion wrestler Payton Hume has signed to compete at the NCAA Division II level for the University of Mary (Bismarck, North Dakota) next season, an announcement he made at Flathead High School on April 12.

Hume won the 170-pound Class AA state championship for the Braves earlier this year and was a key piece of the Flathead teams that won state titles his junior and senior seasons. He was a three-time state placer, including a second-place finish in 2017 at 152 pounds.
