A Big Thank You

The Egan Slough vote was a legal and proper way for the public to have a say in their own government

By Gil Conrad

I want to give a big thank you to Flathead County Planning Board Chairman Jeff Larsen for his letter to the Beacon in which he calls the people he represents liars and Flimflam artists. The Egan Slough vote was a legal and proper way for the public to have a say in their own government.

I also want to give a big thank you to the City of Kalispell. When I expressed my concern about truck traffic on Whitefish Stage from the new Rail Park at an open house at City Hall, I was told there would not be a road out to Whitefish Stage. Drive by and see for yourself.

I also want to give a big thank you to Kalispell Planning Director Tom Jentz. His approval of an additional street coming from the new town center north of town and intersecting to Reserve west of Whitefish Stage is confusing to say the least. When asked about the existing traffic problems on Reserve and Whitefish Stage his response of “that is bugaboo” is also confusing to me.

A collective thank you to our elected and appointed officials who openly show how much they care about the best interest of the public.
